Pre School Transition

This class is very similar to Dance Basics but it’s only for 30mins, it is for our 4 year olds who will be turning 5 during the year. It gives them a smooth transition into the Dance Basics Class as most of what they learn in this class they learn in Dance Basics, it gives them a little confidence boost for when they move up.

Dance Basics

This class is for our 5-6 year olds, they learn all the fundamental moves of Hip Hop, Jazz and Street Funk, its 45mins of non stop dancing. Through out the year they learn lots of repetitive mini routines to all their favorite songs, sometimes using props such as ribbons and pom poms, and then towards the 2nd half of the year when they have found their feet and are much more confident we start on their dances for the show. They are always a hit in our productions.

Dance Fusion

We teach you two routines for the show, the first is a blend of Hip Hop and Street Funk to all the latest top of the charts music, the 2nd is usually a themed jazz dance, e.g. 50’s 60’s 70’s 80’s, Latin, techno, the list goes on, the entire class gets to choose a theme and a song so it usually ends up being something that everyone will enjoy doing.

Boys Hip Hop

Very similar to Dance Fusion, only this class is just for boys. Break Dancing is also another element of this class; however it is mostly Hip Hop/ Street Funk.

Performance

These classes are by invitation only, and are for our most dedicated, passionate, enthusiastic students, every 2 years we take on another performance class, so our next intake is 2010. If you think you have got what it takes let me know and I’ll let you know when auditions are. One of the requirements is that you have to do two classes per week; you also have to be available and want to do extra performances such as the NZ Breakers.
